Greg Mortenson's Three Cups of Tea will be this year's common text. Mortenson, with journalist David Oliver Relin, describes his experiences building schools for girls and boys in Pakistan over the past ten years. This book talk will focus on how to engage students in discussion and writing about the thematic content of the text such as education, the promotion of peace, and intercultural relationships. Included will be suggested writing prompts and assignments.
